By having a space to confront the uncomfortable thoughts in my head, I was able to transform both mentally and physically.

In an ideal world we would say practice every day. We do understand, however, that schedules are hectic. A regular yoga practice will alleviate stress and tension, build your energy levels and relieve aches and pains. We suggest an in-studio practice of 3-4 times per week. There is healing in movement!
There’s not much you need to do besides hydrate and eat properly throughout the day, but be sure to come to class on an empty stomach - having eaten no less than an hour before class. Once you land on your mat in the studio, presence yourself to your surroundings and breathe. Your body will do the rest.
As with any cardiovascular exercise and nutritious eating plan the more calories you burn than you take in, the more weight you will lose. Vinyasa is a great workout for body AND mind, in and of itself.
You’ll want to bring water, a mat (we offer them for a $2 rental fee), a “sweat towel” and a practice towel (YogiToes) if you prefer one. We supply straps and blocks free-of-charge.
Yoga’s ability to reduce tension and stress allows for your nervous system to calm and your respiratory system to breathe fuller and deeper. All of which are components of a good night’s sleep. When your physical and mental well-being are improved upon, your sleep quality improves as well. With a regular yoga practice you will generally awaken feeling refreshed and full of vitality.
