For Erin, yoga arrived as a saving grace during a difficult time.
"I was going through a trying period, and was immediately drawn to the calming effect that yoga had on my mind and spirit," says Erin.
As her practice evolved, Erin welcomed yoga as an indispensable component of her daily life. After more than a decade of regular practice, Erin decided to make the leap to teaching.
"After practicing on and off since 2004, I decided to become a certified yoga instructor," says Erin. "I wanted to pass on the healing benefits of this incredible practice to others."
Sharing knowledge and helping others are two of Erin's strongest passions. Whether on the mat or in the classroom as an English teacher, Erin feels most alive when she gives of herself. Erin, a 200-hour RYT, feels like she has only scratched the surface in her own practice. As she continues to grow, Erin plans to share the fruits of her journey with her students at Indigo Yoga.
