OVER 1,500 CLASSES TAUGHT
A lifelong fitness buff, Jamie first became a fitness instructor to pursue the challenge of physical activity and continually find a new edge. Her initial experience of Indigo Yoga came through the invitation of a friend.
"He shared with me the impact yoga had on him while he was going through a loss in his life," says Jamie. "He also said it was a good workout, and that piqued my interest. The first class left me sweaty, challenged, and peaceful. I was hooked."
Jamie has found that a frequent practice leads to greater self-discovery and an inner calm.
"The way I practice on my mat is usually how I show up in my everyday life," says Jamie. "Yoga has also given me the tools to be a better wife, mom, and friend."
In July 2015, Jamie attended BHTTS and completed her 200-hour RYT. This has led not only to her role as a studio instructor, but also to outreach posts through MHMR of Fort Worth and the Joan Katz Breast Cancer center. Additionally, she has recently completed a 20-hour Yin training and a 10-hour Yoga Nidra training.
